Hi Jarik!
As we are still very gradefull for your support for our project Gewoon naar School, I would really like to update you on the progress and new discoveries that we are making in order to make development in Somalia more sustainable. This is why, we have put online a new project to support girls education "Boosting girls education: re-usable sanitary pads in Somalia"http://1procentclub.nl/projects/padsinsomalia
Summary:
In continuation on this project we are now looking for a sustainable solution to address the problems of menstruation for school girls through piloting re-usable sanitary pads, addressing both the access of sanitary pads as well as boosting (economic) empowerment of women; these will be the ones who will produce and sell the pads which will significantly increase their position in society as independent women.
We have still one week to raise the funding and we hope that you can support us by donating yourself or spread the word in your network!
