1%CLUB is the online platform and offline network that connects people with smart ideas for development with people, money and knowledge around the world. We are talking about sustainable projects that stimulate the self-reliance of individuals anywhere in the world and improve their standard of living.

To achieve this, we ask our online community three things: a little bit of their knowledge, money or time. They choose how, when and how much they want to participate. The people that run the projects that you are involved in keep them informed on the progress. It is that simple.

Now the 1%CLUB is looking for:

1%EXPERT

1%CLUB - YOU MAKE IT WORK

THE POSITION
As 1%EXPERT you will voluntarily call forth 1% of your knowledge and expertise to support 1%PROJECTS. No one is an expert in everything, but by creating a platform of 1%EXPERTS with all kind of different expertises, everyone will get a chance to contribute their 1% and to take their ideas and the ideas of the 1%PROJECTS to the next level. We believe in ‘Wisdom of the Crowd’, but for that we need a critical crowd: YOU! Everyone can be a 1%EXPERT with their own expertises and experiences. You’re free to choose your own expertise. This can be a specific topic, such as agriculture, water management or finance or a specific region or country. We invite everyone to become a 1%EXPERT at the 1%CLUB!

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•    As 1%EXPERT you will get the opportunity to directly contribute to the development of smart ideas from people in developing countries. Your knowledge and expertise will support the 1%PROJECTS.
•    As 1%EXPERT you have two options. First, you will go online and learn more about the 1%PROJECTS that you find interesting. You will show your interest, ask online questions and start a discussion with the 1%PROJECT-owner or the 1%COACH. Second, it will be possible for a 1%COACH or 1%PROJECT-owner to ask you to shine your light on a certain issue, such as sustainability or the implementation of the project.
•    As 1%EXPERT you will give your input during the whole process: from the moment a 1%PROJECT is created, during the realization of a 1%PROJECT or when a 1%PROJECT is evaluated.
•    You will work voluntarily at the moments that will suit you (at least one afternoon/evening a month).

PROFILE
•    You have affinity with International Development.
•    Your are proactive and you have an entrepreneurial personality.
•    You have good social, communication and written skills in English.
•    You have access to Internet on a regular basis.
•    You are willing to give advice online and you are open for questions and comments from others
•    You are able to give on a regular basis (at least 1/month) advise at the website of the 1%CLUB.

WHAT WE OFFER
•    Access to a network of experts in international development, project management, private initiatives, marketing and communication, fundraising, specific knowledge (e.g. agriculture, business, education or health) and online marketing.
•    Possibility to communicate with other 1%EXPERTS, 1%PROJECT-owners and 1%CREW through an online 1%COACHING system.
•    Support by 1%CREW
•    Possibility to help with 1%WIKI
•    Opportunity to be part of 1%CO-CREATIONS with your expertise
