We are currently in the talks with Kenya Wildlife Service on the tree seedlings purchase and how to prepare them for hardening and finally how to transport them from the nursery to the tree planting site. We shall keep you updated.

In line with our project, we would like to pose the question. With the devastation the fire caused to the Mt.Kenya forest in March this year, what effect did it have to the environment at large????

Tomorrow we are travelling to Mt. Kenya to survey the area we are going to plant trees in. We are also going to be meeting up with some of the locals and getting to know them better. Also the KWS officials who we have been constantly communicating with about the whole project. Really excited about the whole thing, can't wait to get there. Pictures coming this way soon!!!

It is not so much for its beauty that the forest makes a claim upon men's hearts, as for that subtle something, that quality of air that emanation from old trees, that so wonderfully changes and renews a weary spirit.

Our love/passion for the outdoors is what holds our group together. We understand that we have to care for the environment around us, same way it takes care of us. Most of our hiking activities take us through forests and therefore we feel strongly about this cause.

I’d like to think of our group as a journey we are taking through the greater outdoors. Our first step in this journey, the foundation, was Mount Longonot. Few of us knew each other, since it was an event posted on facebook; a friend had invited a friend and so on. What drove us, was the passion we had. Next came Konza, in Machakos. It was tiring, but well worth any aching muscle.
